blogging as been too good for me recently. too good. this photo is a perfect portrayal. I am just speechless. i have not been able to formulate words or anything worth posting-amidst the craziness of life as of late.
ps- i so desperately want to be culturally fluent, especially in european ways. Much thanks to this photo above for pulling on heart strings even more.
well-dressed men make women swoon.

It’s a GIRLS NIGHT OUT on the town, but not with who you are thinking.
Am i dressed appropriately? YES!
My mother dearest, littlest sister, loving aunt & littlest cousins are all coming to Kennesaw to take me out tonight! How lovely. What a splendid evening.
A seven page synthesis paper is standing between me and that time, so i shall feel even more accomplished by the time dinner arrives; a greater reason to celebrate!
Hope you are all celebrating something splendid today!
I spent my morning rolling around in my oh so similar bed talking to the gent. We love morning phone calls that are not rushed & full of laughter. I will only see him (planned thus far) twice in the next two months, but he just shared something with me that i do wholeheartedly believe will be my strength.
Isaiah 26:3- You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You.
Today: my agenda is fully empty. Always, there is the last bit of college work for the semester to be done & when i say last bit i of course mean- five final projects, one 8 page paper and a fully developed program for a Non Profit Organization loaded with trying to find a house, a job & finishing up my internship.
Without further adieu, in the words of a wise friend, comes my next thought-‘As for me… what can be said? I breathe & i know that i am breathing. That is all.’
My day today will simply consist of swaying with the wind all the while being productive with a totally free schedule. Let’s go with it.
As i watch this enlightening movie, my desire to be culturally competent stretches. I admire her & her partially selfish desires to leave her life & experience newness. I desire to connect with other cultures on a common ground of simply, life; to be poor in these places & free from so many things. There is such a parallel to many spiritual things in this movie & i surely admire it. I love her eager, mature, yet childlike faith to seek & search for the abundant inner life. Everything in this life is infinite & my heart aches to be enlightened by it all.
My God. . Supply for What is Wanting in Me.
[Liz: "So the holy truth of the whole adventure here in India, is in one line: "God dwells within you…as you." God’s not interested in watching a performance of how a spiritual person looks and behaves.]
'the way'. this is not necessarily a certain 'path' to be on, but rather a way of life- the actions we execute every day- the way we live. I've had it wrong my whole life.
Love is not a feeling. Love is not a relationship. Love is not attraction. Love is not met through selfish, self centered needs. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable. Love keeps no record of being wronged. Love does not rejoice about injustice.
LOVE IS deeper. Love is sacrifice. Love is service. Love is the Sovereign will of God. Love is patient & kind. Love rejoices upon the flowering of truth. Love never gives up. Love never loses faith. Love is always hopeful. Love always endures through every circumstance. Love is fervent.
Live this love. Let this love win.
There cannot be unconditional love where someone meets all the conditions. -Paul Washer
We always believe there is a certain ‘type’ of person we are attracted to & will marry. It is rather different. This unconditional love cannot thrive in a relationship or marriage where someone meets all your ‘conditions’. This is why God’s grace & mercy is so abounding in a marriage or relationship that is orchestrated by Him because that person will not meet all of your ‘conditions’ you have preconceived for them. You will have to live in grace and choose to unconditionally love them through the differences. Love is never about receiving, but always about giving.
there is so much more to this love than we know.
