A day in the life of.
I don’t know about you but a day in the life of this chick is b.u.s.y. i love it, i really do. I’m telling you this in an apologetic manner for my absences, but truly apologizing for my future ones to come.
Here is my week & unfortunate Tumb absence reasoning:
school. church. work. internship. Family? Friends? Boy to the friend? Where is their place? Oh to be a child & i know all of you adults reading this laugh saying, “just wait, Maeg. . just wait. Wait till you are 40 saying, ‘oh to be twenty.” You know, i hear ya- so enough of my sob story about lifes busy-ness. i’m blessed. i love it!

listen up people. There are few things i find in life more exciting than house hunting & the idea of decorating an entire house, MY house. (Let me save you the ‘freak out moment’, no i am NOT engaged & house hunting-breathe) I am house hunting for my senior year with four other lovely chickadees that i could not have chosen myself. dream come true. I should have been an interior decorator, i tell ya.
I demand for a house (at any point in my life) to have a reading nook. How preferable this would be! Uhm. . HELLO ESCAPE! My husband should start his carpentry skills now- or learn how to tear down walls & rebuild rooms. If ya need me, you can find me here- reading, drinking something hot &/or desserting.
I wouldn’t mind an eclectic, colorFULL home.
Too bad she’s in Lund, Sweden. I could also admire an enticing, loving cottage to call home sweet home with an ever so perfect entry gate.
Too bad she’s in England. Wherever home is, will be just right & perfect. I cannot wait for a place of my very own! Hallellujah. *now fingers crossed that i’m staying & no emotional attachment*

My first words this morning were, “Lord, I am sad that i am not waking up and sitting with you on the beach this morning like i have done for the past four days.”
However, i still sat with Him. It was just in my cozy bed. I would like to say it is not as good as the sand in my toes, the smell of the water and the wind in my hair but i choose to see today with new eyes & love it just the same. Simplicity does not change with our atmospheres & a simple life is my hearts cry. She arose early & lived simply. Thankful for a crisp, new morning!
i like this. a lot.
So as to renew & keep up the spirit, the past three days i have been reading. would i like to say that is all i have been doing with every waking hour? absolutely, unfortunately that is not true amidst schooling. i have escaped to kennesaw mountain as well as a lovely reading spot on campus with this blessing of scenery to make the time more intimate. i cherish these because i am 'away' in every possible form & refreshed with my heart.

As of this am, i now follow Corey Spicuzza. Simply for the fact that it is a foolish thing to do. You should do the same.
Here’s to a Happy Tuesday!
what a precious, refreshing, splendid weekend!
Let’s note the festivities of this glorious laughter filled weekend:
-Roadtrip from Kenne to Milly Thursday-LARGE gathering of house churches at UGA Thursday night- coffee, walking, & errands around town- NOT SO GREEK formal with some dear dear friends (much laughter was had & memories shared as you can see from pictures above) Friday- JIQ (Jesus in the Qur’an) for 9 hours Saturday with my boyfriend- Church & violet field frolicking with my boyfriend again today.
how free. such a real weekend.
Too many people overvalue what they are not and undervalue what they are.
Out of clutter, find simplicity. From discord, find harmony. In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.
There is a long time coming that i get overly enthusiastic about with butterflies in my stomach, an impatient traveling heart & an abundance of exuberant joy over! To travel to each state in the U.S. doing something new in each one, something different. Let’s dream a little bigger than that shall we? Every (travelable) continent. All of europe. please? *deep sigh* *slumping down in my chair*
All of that is about receiving what different cultures in this world have to offer ME. Yes, that is lovely & I have a traveling heart no doubt, but i would much rather travel to every one of these places in hopes of eliminating every need, all poverty & offering a lasting hope. Yes, this is what i would much rather do. I sit at my internship desk (long empty table with a few rolling chairs that i like to consider a desk?) joyfully working to find jobs for refugees and sorting through donated clothes & food to give away to needy families. Helping these families to establish stability in a new world. My dreams are becoming real. This nonprofit if my launching pad & i could not be more thrilled. Poverty is man made & if poverty is just that, a man/woman can completely eliminate it. i believe.
“Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice. Like slavery and apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. Sometimes it falls on a generation to be great. You can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.” — Nelson Mandela

Cheerfulness is a sign of a generous and mortified person who forgetting all things, even themselves, tries to please God in all they do for souls. Cheerfulness is often a cloak which hides a life of sacrifice, continual union with God, fervor & generosity.- Mother Teresa
